I've got a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Quadra Trac system. Last weekend I went to the desert and when I tried to engage 4WD, the light started flashing and I didn't have power to the front wheels. In 2WD it drives fine. I've checked the fluid in the transfer case and it was low, so I topped it up but still no 4WD. A friend said it could be the transfer case motor or the shift encoder. I need to find a shop that offers Authorized Transfer Case Mussafah and can diagnose whether it's an electrical issue or mechanical. Has anyone here had a flashing 4WD light on a WK2 and found it was just a bad position sensor? Also wondering if a faulty ABS sensor could affect 4WD engagement. The car has 130k km and I use it for light offroading. Any advice on what to check first or a good transfer case specialist in Mussafah would be great. Thanks.
